Counter Options

Hidden Counters
The first decision you must make is whether you want your potential buyers to be able to see the count on your item. Some sellers feel that counters stimulate interest in their item, while others feel the count should be for their eyes only. If you would like to hide your count, you can turn on the hidden option for your counter. The count will only be visible to you through your View Counters page.

Borders
Depending on how your auction listing or homepage design is done, you may want to have a border surrounding your counter. Below are examples of what both standard counters and hidden counters look like with, and without borders.

Counter Types

Honesty Traditional Counter
This is the traditional counter that Honesty has offered for over two years. This counter is considered by us to be a 'smart' counter, in that it does not count consecutive views by the same user, and in turn, helps to prevent 'falsified' counts by reloading a page over and over in order to increase the count. This counter minimizes this sort of action and is the preferred counter for users of auction sites.

Page View Counter
The Page View Counter is a new addition to our counter lineup, brought on by demand for a more 'relaxed' counting method. Our Page View Counter, counts every single viewing of a page, regardless of who is viewing it, or whether they have viewed it previously. This does not offer the prevention of 'falsified' counts, but can be useful in specialized cases.

Digit Styles

Aside from the options above, you can also change the digit style your counter uses. There are multiple colors to choose from, and also some that deviate from the standard text format. There are a few examples below, and you can get a full list on our digit style page.
